Renfrew County ARES

NET INFO

Net controllers are asked to link into the IRLP node 9005, VA3RBW (571), VE3UCR (521) and VE3ZRR (531)  just prior to beginning the net.

The Renfrew County Amateur Radio Emergency Services net is held each Wednesday evening at 0100 hours GMT (9:00 PM EDT/EST) on the VE3NRR (146.760 -600 Khz) Pembroke repeater. When possible, other repeaters throughout the Renfrew County are linked together to allow opportunity for our wide disbursement of membership  to check in. We are hard-linked to VE3ZBC in Bissett Creek which extends our coverage in the west to the edges of Mattawa, and we are soft-linked to VE3ZRR in the east, which extends us east of Arnprior, soft-linked to VA3RBW in Pt. Alexander, and soft-linked to VE3UCR in Foymount, extending coverage south and into Algonquin Park.

Our Pembroke IRLP node number is 2520, and operation is through a link radio between the VE3NRR repeater and a high speed DSL internet connection.

A different net controller hosts the net each week. A net control schedule can be found here. The net preamble outlines the purpose and procedure used to run the ARES net. A special thank you is extended to the Renfrew County Amateur Radio Club (RCARC), the Champlain Repeater Association and the ZRR Group for permitting ARES operations on their respective repeaters.

Please join in the net and say hello.
